The Tamiya Fair is back once again, in the familiar surroundings of Twinmesse Shizuoka's North and South Halls!

Shunsaku Tamiya: Master Modeler Exhibition

Founded in 1946, Tamiya stands just before its 80th birthday. This special exhibition charts Tamiya's growth from a wooden model maker into plastic models, radio control and Mini 4WD, and celebrates Shunsaku Tamiya's life illustrated by episodes from his book Master Modeler: Creating the Tamiya Style and other fascinating materials.

Celebrating 60 years: the Honda F1™

This year marks 60 years since 1965, when Honda scored its maiden Grand Prix victory in Mexico, and to commemorate that magnificent achievement the RA272 and RA273 will be on display.

Model Exhibitions

See wonderful examples of modeling in the Shizuoka Plastic Model Club  (a range of modeling clubs mainly from Shizuoka Prefecture) and Mokei Campus (university modeling clubs from across Japan) exhibitions.

MOKEI CAMPUS

This is an exhibition of models made by university students - come along and see what surprises the younger generation has in store, and get a glimpse of the future of plastic model culture!

Exhibition: the 54th Figure Remodeling Contest

You will be amazed at just how much detail people cram into these 5cm figures, which are repurposed not just as military subjects but also popular public figures.

Full-Size Vehicles on Display

Tamiya themed vehicles like the full-size Lunch Box van and the 1/1 scale Aero Avante (with special livery) are joined by vehicles from the Self Defense Force and other historically significant cars. A great place for a commemorative photo!

Champions from North America and Asia come to Shizuoka to take on the cream of Japanese R/C car drivers in the 2025 Tamiya World Championships!

R/C Tank Owners' Meet (15th)

Get blown away by the realistic movement, lights and sounds of this big 1/16 scale radio control models! The special arena will plasy host to armor from classic WWII vehicles like the Tiger I, Sherman and JS-2 to the modern day Type 10, Leopard 2A6, M1A2 Abrams and more. From one-on-one battles to team melees, there will be plenty of action to enjoy!

Workshops (paid experiences)

Making our products is one of the most important Tamiya experiences, and we offer you the chance to make Mini 4WD cars and even Decoration Series creations under the supervision of expert Tamiya staff.

Try!! Toyota RC School (16th)

This program introduces its participants to the exciting worlds of automotives and model making through the assembly of our Toyota GAZOO Racing WRT/GR YARIS Rally1 HYBRID (TT-02 Chassis) model. After assembly, the participants have a chance to test drive their models!

TAMIYA MAKER’S SQUARE

Through this scheme, Tamiya aims to publicize the beauty of monozukuri (making things) and contribute to the development of native manufacturing. Exhibiting companies will be showing Mini 4WD courses made using the techniques and technologies unique to them, and there will be plenty for the viewing public to admire!
