Announcement regarding the Passing of Mr. Masao Tamiya

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Masao Tamiya - who had worked as a designer and art director at Tamiya Plastic Model Co. (Tamiya, Inc.) until 1998 - on August 19th, 2025 at the age of eighty-seven.

He was integral to the design of the Tamiya twin star logo and contributed greatly to packaging and promotional material design as well as media and event strategy, in essence defining the Tamiya style.
 
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for everything he gave to Tamiya and offer our deepest condolences.
