1/16 R/C M4 SHERMAN 105mm HOWITZER (MECHANICAL STEERING SYSTEM)

The Sherman tank was a staple of the Allied effort in WWII, with a total of about 50,000 vehicles produced, among which were a host of different variants such as the M4 Sherman 105mm Howitzer, a variant used in fire support. The M4 hull featured rolled steel plates, and it employed a 9-cylinder air-cooled radial engine in the rear which powered the front sprockets via a 5-speed transmission with reverse; the 105mm gun fired howitzer rounds, smoke rounds and incendiary ammunition. The late production vehicle had horizontal vertical spring suspension (HVSS) and 840 units were produced, providing infantry support and taking part in assaults on enemy strongpoints from Europe to the Pacific Theater. Controlled Differential Steering System In WWII, the average tracked vehicle used a clutch brake system, whereby the sprocket on the turning side was braked to create a difference in speed between the tracks and let the vehicle turn. While it did enable pivot turns on the spot by completely stopping one track, it required considerable skill to operate, not to mention the fact that it experienced mechanical power loss and a tendency to overheat the brakes. On the other hand, the M4 Sherman used a controlled differential system that braked a sprocket wheel via a differential gear: as the turning side track slowed, the other track sped up, leading to smooth turns and in one fell swoop both minimizing mechanical loss and negating brake overheating issues. This system was also employed on the M24, the M8, and the M2 high speed tractor, vehicles which all contributed to the eventual success of the Allied WWII campaign. About the Model This is a 1/16 scale R/C model assembly kit. ★Just like the actual tank, the model uses a controlled differential steering system. ★Metal components are used for drive sprockets, suspension arms and idler wheel bases. ★The horizontal vertical spring suspension (HVSS) uses metal coil springs. ★Pre-assembled plastic tracks use metal pins and connectors. Mechanical Steering System A differential gear transfers power from the Type 540 motor. When the tracks rotate at the same speed the model moves in a straight line, turning as the track speeds differ: transmitter commands cause servo movement, which in turn slows the turning side track via one of the brake discs in the differential. 1/12 SCALE R/C 4WD OFF ROAD CAR TOYOTA LAND CRUISER 40 PICK-UP QUADTRACK (GF-01FT CHASSIS)

Tracked Classic Toyota’s Land Cruiser is one of the most recognizable 4WD vehicles in the world, especially the 40, a series which was sold from 1960 to 1984. This R/C model assembly kit recreates the Land Cruiser 40 Pick-Up equipped with 3-sided track units in place of tires. The model is based upon the gear-driven 4WD GF-01FT chassis which features a monocoque frame with power provided by the centrally-positioned motor via front/rear differential gears. The track units not only offer superlative traction compared to tires but also enable the model to run even on snow, sand, mud and other testing conditions with stable grip. A lightweight, polycarbonate body, and driver figure are also included. GF-01FT Chassis The GF-01FT is a variant of the GF-01. In place of the original tires are four swinging track units, which are attached with the uprights and are powered via drive sprockets. Each features eight rollers, and the third roller's vertical motion ensures that the GF-01FT enjoys excellent traction. Ground clearance is also significant. The tracks themselves are assembly type, with metal link pins and two types of link (standard, grouser) for running in different conditions. 1/10 SCALE R/C 4WD HIGH PERFORMANCE OFF ROAD VEHICLE LANDFREEDER QUADTRACK (TT-02FT CHASSIS)

On the Right Track This assembly kit creates an R/C model off-road truck which shows high performance on poor surfaces. Its chassis is based upon the TT-02 shaft-driven 4WD unit, with superlative traction from its four individual tracks that helps it plow through snow, sand, mud and other testing conditions. Its 1980s pick-up truck style body is molded in polycarbonate, with fog lamps, grille guard and roll bar recreated using separate metal-plated parts. A polycarbonate chassis cover and wheel well liners help prevent dirt and the like from getting into the chassis and potentially causing damage. Tracked 4WD Fun: the TT-02FT Chassis The TT-02FT chassis uses the shaft-driven TT-02 as a base, with track units in place of the four wheels. Each of the track units is attached to upper and lower suspension arms, and is powered via a drive sprocket that attached to the chassis drive shaft; they swing to allow superior contact with the running surface, and feature a sprung roller to allow easier negotiation of smaller obstacles. Plenty of ground clearance is on offer, too. Tracks are a plastic assembly type design with metal link pins, and give minimal power loss from friction for a smooth drive, even at lower speeds. Two types of link are included in the kit - standard, and jutting grouser designs - and can be used in tandem to customize your model's grip. The chassis features a CR-Tuned motor as standard. 1/35 SCALE U.S. ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIER M3A2 HALF-TRACK

Although half-tracks had been looked at with interest in U.S. military circles since the late 1920s, it took the outbreak of WWII to provide real impetus for their uptake, as the original M2 was followed quickly by vehicles such as the M3 and the M3A1 as part of the mechanization of U.S. forces; all told, over 40,000 were produced during the conflict. The M3A2 was perhaps the most accomplished, having benefitted from experience gained in the design and deployment of its predecessors: Its open top turret was fitted with reinforced armor plate, and it could carry up to 12 soldiers. Its 143 hp inline-six gasoline engine could provide speeds of up to 72 km/h. Finely tuned suspension and driven front wheels ensured that the M3A2 was at home on tricky surfaces, earning it a reputation as a trustworthy way of transporting personnel and materiel. It was deployed between late 1943 and the end of the conflict, and was seen in various theaters, even receiving personnel carrier and SPG variants. After the war it was employed by militaries including the Japan Ground Self Defense Forces, in some places not being retired until the 1970s.

1/35 GERMAN 8ton SEMI TRACK 20mm FLAKVIERLING Sd.Kfz. 7/1

Ground-to-air defenses grew in importance as German fortunes waned in the later stages of WWII and the war was taken to the skies over Germany itself; a number of anti-aircraft weapons were developed, including the highly effective quadruple 20mm gun recreated by this plastic model assembly kit. The model offers 360-degree movement of the gun and sight, while the complex suspension is also realistically depicted. A variety of accessories and five figures in winter uniform are included.
