Truly Awesome!
This 2WD R/C off-road assembly kit buggy inherits its name from the 1980s Tamiya R/C rear-wheel drive model "Astute." The low-profile, sleek body is designed by Kota Nezu of znug design. The model features a driver figure in the cockpit and individual front/rear small fenders. Two types (high/low) of wing stays are included to adjust downforce. Based on a monocoque frame chassis with midship motor and battery pack position toward the rear, the Astute 2022 utilizes front ribbed and rear square spike tires.

Take a look at the Astute 2022 body from another angle, drinking in the honed form with splayed rear, designed by Kota Nezu.

Black star dish design wheels are paired with sturdy hex hub nuts and front ribbed tires for superior directionality.

At the rear, black star dish wheels are used in combination with square spike tires to give the model plenty of bite.

Seen from the side, one can appreciate just how lowdown this streamlined buggy gets, with an accent provided by the fenders.

The cockpit is a particular highlight, with an aircraft-inspired canopy and a driver figure installed inside for superb realism.

Two different wing stay designs (high and low) are included in the kit, to help you tweak the car's downforce. This image shows low types.

Left: Front polycarbonate mini-fenders are screw-attached to their upright. Blue sections are taken care of with stickers.

Right: If you like, side pontoon front sections can be left unpainted to provide a window into the car's inner workings!

TD2 - Superbly Balanced RWD
The TD2 is a rear-wheel drive buggy chassis which employs front inboard suspension for slim, low-profile form, and a monocoque frame with optimum R/C equipment layout. It features a midship transverse motor and transverse battery pack positioned to the rear. The sealed gearbox has a built-in ball differential to limit slip and 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension utilizes CVA oil dampers. Turnbuckle shafts for use as upper arms facilitate camber angle adjustment. Front suspension has a skid angle of 25 degrees and angled dampers for smooth performance. Ribbed front and rear square spike tires facilitate stability and great grip. Front wheels are attached by hex hubs.

The TD2 layout has the motor installed midships, while the battery pack in a position toward the rear to aid with traction.

A hi-torque servo saver comes included as standard, and helps actuate the steering via a three-piece tie-rod setup.

Smooth front inboard suspension has suspension arms with a 25-degree skid angle and CVA oil dampers at a similar gradient.

Upper "I" and lower "H" arms are employed in the front suspension. Turnbuckle shaft upper arms allow swift adjustment of camber.

The motor is attached in a transverse position to the rear of the battery pack, providing power to a drivetrain with 3 gears.

A ball differential is housed in the sealed gearbox. Steel joint cups secure the durability needed for a demanding off-road drive.

CVA oil dampers have red springs in keeping with the livery theme of the stylish Astute 2022.

The rear suspension setup features a combination of lower "H" arms and upper turnbuckle shafts.
