1/35 R/C Tank Series No.19
1/35 SCALE R/C GERMAN PANTHER TYPE G LATE VERSION (w/CONTROL UNIT)
The Panther was admired on all sides as one of the most capable and balanced tanks fielded in WWII, and its Ausf. G (Type G) variant is recreated by this radio controlled model assembly kit. Its iconic form with sloped armor will really look the part as you put it through its paces via the controller: forward and reverse motion are joined by a range of turns and pivots, turret rotation and gun elevation. The model has a compact gearbox stowed in the front, pre-assembled turret rotation and gun elevation unit in the center, and the MC-07 control unit in the rear. Each section is easily linked using connectors, and the assembly type tracks facilitate authentic motion, while the hull is a design from the 1/35 military miniature series and offers superior realism and accuracy.
About the Panther Type GThe advent of the Soviet T34 was a major wake-up call for suddenly overmatched German tanks, and stimulated the development of the Panther, which made its fighting debut in 1943. It was a truly balanced design, with excellent survivability on account of its sloped armor, not to mention the maneuverability afforded by its 700hp Maybach HL230P30 4-stroke V12 engine and the firepower from its L/70 7.5cm gun. The Type G variant was a successor to the A and D Panthers; production began in March 1944, and by the end of 1944, a further upgraded version had been brought out with a squared-off lower gun shield, upgraded muffler and a heater unit on the engine grille. Production of the Type G Panther continued until April 1945, with 2,953 rolling off the production lines and it was always a threat to enemy forces.
