1/48 Military Miniature Series No.90

Length: 93 mm. Image shows painted and assembled kit.

Lightweight but no Pushover
The Light Armored Vehicle began to reach Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) units in 2002; lightweight (as its name suggests) and powered by a 160hp liquid-cooled 4-cylinder diesel, this nimble customer can reach speeds of up to 100km/h and even be air-lifted by helicopter if the need arises. From 2004, the JGSDF sent a Humanitarian Assistance Team to Iraq, and experience gained in the field led to a number of upgrades being applied to Light Armored Vehicles for use in the Japanese archipelago. It comes in a variety of specs, tailored to the needs of its unit and whether they require smoke dischargers, 5.56 MINIMI machine gun, etc.
About the Model
★This is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Japan Ground Self Defense Force Light Armored Vehicle. Length: 93mm, width: 46mm. ★This highly accurate model was designed with full access to actual JGSDF vehicles. ★The boxy style of the vehicle is depicted with aplomb. ★The numerous upgrades to the Japanese-use Light Armored Vehicle are faithfully captured. ★Comes with marking options and parts for 1 command car (with smoke dischargers), and 2 other vehicles.
  • ★Access to JGSDF vehicles allowed us to make this comprehensive 1/48 scale rendering of the Light Armored Vehicle.
  • ★Includes parts and decals to create 3 different vehicles. The roof-top hatch can be assembled open or closed.
  • ★Molded depictions of tires are of course given realistic tread patterns for a super-realistic finish.
  • ★The suspension and underside are realistically rendered while ensuring that the parts count is reasonable.
  • ★The kit includes a figure depicting a driver wearing the very latest in bullet-proof JGSDF gear.
  • ★Why not take the opportunity to purchase and build multiple vehicles, or pair the kit with the 1/48 Type 10?
