【 Scanning the Skies 】 Originally released in the 1970s as a radio controlled model, Tamiya's big 1/16 scale Gepard is making a return as an assembly kit display model. The Gepard featured the most advanced anti-aircraft system of its time, and in upgraded form, is still in service with several militaries today. This imposing model faithfully captures the self-propelled AA gun's impressive details. The tracking radar is movable and can be depicted in traveling position, while the surveillance radar rotates 360° and can be depicted in stowed position. Furthermore, various display positions are possible since the metal torsion bar springs enable realistic suspension movement and the rear section of the box-shaped turret may be posed open.
