A ubiquitous character
During WWII, The U.S. Army used a large number of civilian vehicles as military staff cars. The 1942 four door sedan Model was the most common vehicle used for this purpose. Its curved body was 4.9m long and 1.9m wide, and it was powered by a 90hp six-cylinder 3,700cc engine. From February 1942, production was restricted to military use, and they were often used for liaison and transport for high-ranking officers and staff, but airmen commonly used them for personal use.
