The Tunisian Tiger|
One of the most powerful tanks deployed during WWII, this Initial Production Tiger I was among those sent to Tunisia to help Rommel fight the Allied forces in late 1942. These early Tigers had pistol ports on the turret sides, front fender composed of a skid-proof board, Feifel air pre-cleaners, and a storage box behind the turret. Armed with the powerful 88mm main gun, the Tiger could knock out Allied Sherman tanks at over 2,000 meters, and it is said that some Tigers in Africa were painted green.
