About the Peugeot 206 WRC version 2002
In 2002 World Rally Championship (WRC), the team Peugeot is pushing on toward both the drivers' and constructors' titles with their 206 WRC. High power 2-liter 4cylinder turbo engine, electronic active anti-roll-bar and other improvements are packed in this compact, 4-meter body. In particular, the Peugeot 206's performance on the tarmac is second to none. Through 2nd to 5th rounds, Peugeot drivers occupied the 1st and 2nd place of the podium and are currently still leading the competition.

Kit comes with the 3rd round, Tour de Corse version. It replicates characteristic parts seen in 2002 version: three ducts on the front hood, support frame on rear fender, and over-sized rear brake disc. Optional protective headrest parts are also included. Driver & co-driver figures enables realistic diorama construction. Decals for car No.1, 2, and 3 are included.

In 1999, the Peugeot 206 WRC made its impressive debut in the WRC 6th round, Tour de Corse. The 4m compact body with short wheelbase displayed sharp cornering performance. Having run the first position temporarily at this debut race, Peugeot 206 WRC flashed its glimpse of promise for winning the title in the following year.

It was not a fluke that the 206 showed stunning performance in the previous year. With '99 based machine, M.Gronholm won 1st prizes in the Sweden, New Zealand, and Finland stages. Having led all rivals, team Peugeot took the highroad to success to win both drivers' and constructors' championships within two years.

After seizing the double title in the World Rally Champion, Peugeot revealed their fastest machine ever in the early 2001 season for the next title. 206 WRC underwent thorough improvement down to finest details. An incredible line-up of drivers, 2000 champion M.Gronholm, the veteran D.Auriol, D.Panizzi, and H.Rovanpera led the team to the constructors' champion again.
