This car - run by German outfit Schübel Engineering and sponsored by German liquor manufacturer Jägermeister - took part in the 1994 running of the famed German Touring Car Championship (DTM). The car was vastly different from its road-going cousins, with a powerful 420hp 2.5-liter V6 and full-time 4WD. Driver M. Bartels, a driver with experience at the very highest level of motorsport, piloted the car and in the final race of the season at the Hockenheimring, took a highly creditable 7th place in the first race before topping even the works 155 V6 TI cars in claiming 3rd position in the second race.
