Tamiya's 1/8 scale monster truck TNX took out first and second place in the small block class (.18 engine class) of the 5th Pro-Line Nitro MAXX Challenge held on May 14 & 15 in California, U.S.A. Tamiya America TRF drivers Jimmy Jacobson and David Jun dominated the 39 member field with their racing enhanced TNX trucks, taking out 1st and 2nd place in the A-main final.
This is just another fantastic result for the TNX which also took out 1st-2nd in Monster Madness in August last year. Racing with a slightly modified, racing enhanced TNX, both trucks were mounted with the powerful .18 FS-18SR O.S. Engine which comes standard with the market available TNX monster truck. Both driver's commented that it was not only the powerful engine and explosive acceleration that gave them victory, but it was also the reliability of the TGM-03 chassis which makes the TNX such an exceptional racing truck.
