2010 Tamiya Fair Welcomed 20,000 Visitors

▼November 2011 saw the 12th Tamiya Fair take place in Shizuoka, Japan. Over 20,000 visitors enjoyed in the festivities that were held at this fun two-day event.

▼First, the North Hall held the “Tamiya GP World Championships” which saw competitors from around the world and Japan compete for the honor to be crowned this year's R/C “World Champion” driver. The North Hall was also the stage where a number of new items were publicly announced and in particular, the re-release of the 1/10 R/C Avante (2011) was one of the highlights. In addition, Toyota's super sportscar “Lexus LFA” and 2010 Super GT500 Class Championship winning machine, the Team Weider's Honda HSV-010 were also on display.

▼The South Hall saw the hotly contested Mini 4WD “Autumn GP 2010” and “Elementary School Student Cup” events held on large, technical courses. Other R/C events were also held such as the “R/C Tank Owners Meeting” and “Fan Fun Pair Match” which were also popular events to watch. Furthermore, a “Beautiful World of Transparent Plastic Parts” themed modeling corner, “Pla-Mode”, and the “Sweets Decoration” were both very popular with girls and women of all ages. Other modeling areas which included the “Mini-Plastic Model Production, Plastic Board, and Airbrush Experience” were also very popular. In addition, over 500 exhibits from members of the Shizuoka Modeler's Club were on display.

▼In addition, both days saw everyone enjoy shopping the wide range of Tamiya items that were on sale at shop sections. Tamiya Fair was a two-day event full of fun that allowed everyone experience first hand the wonder of modeling.
