Over 80,000 Visitors Come to the Shizuoka Hobby Show

▼This year running for four days from May 14-17 2009, the 48th Shizuoka Hobby Show was held as the main event of the Shizuoka Hobby Week celebrations. Over 80,000 visitors from both Japan and abroad, came to see the latest offerings of the participating 81 domestic hobby related companies. Tamiya announced various new and re-release items and saw vast numbers of visitors gather around the exhibitions and the R/C demonstration area with keen anticipation. The sales area saw many special event-only items go on sale along with other original Tamiya goods which became a highlight of the event.

Two Days of Fun Fun Fun

▼In conjunction with the 48th Shizuoka Hobby Show, Tamiya's head office was open to the public for two days on May 16 & 17, 2009. This provided a great opportunity to the public to freely come and ask Tamiya staff a wide variety of questions and see how the Planning, Design, and Molding Departments work together to create the plastic parts that make your masterpieces. Furthermore, there were also allocated areas for those who wished to experience R/C and Robocraft items firsthand as well as sales areas to purchase special limited items. Although the weather was not favorable for both days, we would like to thank everyone who could visit us. For our fans who unfortunately could not visit us this year, please enjoy the photos below and we look forward to seeing you next year. |
