 Tamiya Oshika Circuit Guide

All R/C fans can use Tamiya Circuit free of charge. There is an electric R/C car on-road & off-road course which is open for use. Even for those coming for their first time, there is a friendly staff member (on Weekends & National holidays) who can assist in making your R/C experience more enjoyable.
In addition, as model testing & events are held at the course, please refer to the circuit calendar prior to coming.
※The use of Drift machines (including the use of drift tires) is prohibited.

 Circuit Facilities ※On-Road & Off-Road Course Layout


On-Road Course
The course's surface offers tires more high gripping cornering performance than asphalt surfaces.


Off-Road Course
The flat dirt course comes with exciting jumps for fun buggy driving. Layout changes are possible.


Reception & Band Board
On weekends & National holidays there is an on-site manager present. Please get your band card from the office under the driver's stand.


Driver's Stand
Up to 15 drivers can feel relaxed when driving. Below is the allocated smoking area.


Driver's Stand・2F
Hanging from the drivers' waist is the band frequency plate which you can get from the band board when it is your turn to drive. Come with clips.


Pit Tables
Under the tents you can comfortably work on your machine. Each table comes equipped with a 100V power outlet.


Circuit House
From the 2nd floor you can clearly see the off-road course. On the Ground floor there are male & female toilets.


Circuit House Room
This comfortable air conditioned room can be used (Open for events) and features an R/C machine exhibit.


Air Compressor
Freely use to blow away any dust or small stones from your machine when you have finished driving.


Mini 4WD Circuit
Feel free to drive your Mini 4WD.

 Things to Remember When Using the Circuit

★At the Kakegawa Circuit, there has been an occasion where Non-Tamiya battery has exploded. Battery chargers with no specifications and improper handling of batteries were deemed the cause of these unfortunate events. Please take the appropriate care and use the circuit with the below points in mind.
●Do not bring or use Lithium Ion Polymer (Li-Po) batteries.
●Do not use batteries which have been known to explode or catch fire.

Open Times: Weekdays = 9am-4pm, Weekends & National Holidays = 9am-5pm.
When there is an event on, you cannot use the course. Please check the calendar (in Japanese) here for availability or contact Tamiya Grand Prix prior to going to the course.

Scheduled Days Off: Every Tuesday excluding National Holidays.

●This is a non smoking facility. For smokers, please use the allocated smoking areas.

●In the case of many customers, you cannot save tables. If required, set up your area to keep your space.

●The use of grip adhesives are prohibited.

≪ For Weekends & National Holidays ≫

●Firstly, sign in at the reception under the driver's stand. Once signed in, you will receive a band card with your details. At this time you will be asked to pay a cardholder guarantee of 100 yen which will be returned when you have finished.

●If you have any problems or inquiries, please ask the on-site manager.

●From the Shizuoka Tomei Interchange by car approx. 10 minutes. There is a free carparking near the circuit

●From JR Shizuoka Station by taxi approx. 10 minutes. From JR Higashi Shizuoka Station by foot approx. 15 minutes.

Tamiya Kakegawa Circuit Guide

You can enjoy the driving your electric or engine R/C car at the World's Largest class R/C race course, Tamiya Kakegawa Circuit. Any R/C fan can become a membership holder. Even if you are a non-member, you can use this course as a visitor or a participant in Tamiya organized races.
As you will not be able to drive your machine on days where an event is held, prior to coming, please refer to the Tamiya Kakegawa Circuit Calendar. (In Japanese, Light blue: Closed, Red: Scheduled Race.)

Course (From the Eastside)
1 lap is approx. 320m, providing fun driving for both engine and electric R/C cars. (Outer course: 200m, Full course: 320m)


Course (From the Westside)
The darkened surface is from engine car oil. Excellent gripping surface.


Central Course
One of the main features of this course are the successive corners and chicanes.


Driver's Stand
You can easily see and enjoy driving your car from this spacious stand. Below is the Office/Shop.

 How to Become a Tamiya Membership Holder

The purpose of Tamiya Kakegawa Circuit membership is to have direct contact with our customers who provide the demand for our products.
You can either download the application form from the below link or contact to Tamiya Grand Prix .
In addition, you can also make your application at Tamiya Kakegawa's on-site reception. In this case, you will receive a temporary membership card which you can use until your official card has been issued.

How to Join
Please fill out the application form. Including your relevant information, a current personal photograph is required for your membership. Send your application form and your photo to Tamiya Grand Prix. In addition, please pay the membership and card creation fee by postal money transfer. Year Membership: 6,000 yen / Card Creation Fee: 1,000 yen (For new membership only)

1 Day Charges: Member = 500 yen, Visitor = 1,500 yen

Elementary, Junior & High School students are free of charge.
A membership will be cheaper if you use the circuit more than 6 times a year.


●About Renewing Membership
The renewal of your membership has to be done by the end of the valid month recorded on your membership card.
If you renew your membership outside of your valid time period, your renewal will be handled as a new membership. In that case, you will be charged 1,000 yen again for creating a new card.

●Please read the membership policy thoroughly.

Only Tamiya R/C Engine and R/C Electric machines can run on the course.

●1/8 R/C Engine & R/C Electric machines can run on the circuit. (On busy days, running times will be divided.)

●There are no rubbish bins on-site. Please take your rubbish home with you.

●On weekdays the shop is closed but parts can be bought from the on-site reception.

●For Tamiya organized races, even non-members can join for free.

●From the Kakegawa Tomei interchange approximately 15 minutes by car. (From Nagoya Interchange approx. 120km, From Tokyo approx. 200km)From the interchange exit, road signs and directions on telephone poles can be seen.

●From Kakegawa Train Station North Exit, take the East Loop line (Clockwise/Anti-clockwise) to "Ecopolis South" (approx. 25 minutes). From the bus stop it is approximately a two minute walk.
