1/48 Propeller Action Series

The Brewster F2A-2 Buffalo was the U.S. Navy's first all-metal monoplane fighter, and Tamiya now announces this aircraft as a member of the 1/48 scale Propeller Action Series. A motor is included to turn the propeller and the model can be displayed on the convenient display base. This limited edition item will be available at Tamiya Fair and may also be purchased afterwards at the Tamiya On-line Shop.

■Realistic Scale Look

The micro motor is installed within the engine parts, so it does not get in the way of any details. Rotation speed can be adjusted according to the installed diode, so it is easy to reproduce a realistic engine running effect. The motor is powered by 1 R6/AA/UM3 battery (sold separately) located under the display base.

■Convenient Canopy Masking

Masking seals are included for both the canopy and the underside window to aid with painting. The cockpit itself features such details as binoculars, gun sight, instrument panel, control pedals, and pilot figure.

■Expanding Display Enjoyment

The stubby, mid-wing monoplane form of the Buffalo is accurately replicated, and the colorful pre-WWII markings will make for an eye-catching display.
