| 【 Heavy Hitting Junkers 】 Born as a high-speed twin-engined bomber, the Junkers Ju88 proved to be an excellent aircraft that could perform a wide variety of roles for the Luftwaffe. The C-6 variant was first produced at the beginning of 1942 as a heavy fighter with a powerful armament of three 20mm cannon and three 7.92mm machine guns. With its tremendous 2,950km range, the C-6 served in the anti-shipping, night intruder, and ground attack roles. It was later fitted with radar to become a fully-fledged night fighter. |
