"The Reedy International Touring Car Race of Champions" was held at "Ripon R/C Speedway", in the suburbs of San Francisco, California, USA on May 28th and 29th. Tamiya brought out their TRF 414 for the Invitational Class of the event. World famous top-drivers such as Barry Baker (who won the race), Masami Hirosaka, and Brian Kinwald participated in the race. The result of the race: Jimmy Jacobson, an exclusive Tamiya driver, took 2nd place; another Tamiya driver, David Jun took 6th place; and other Tamiya drivers made top finishes in the event. All of these racers were using the TRF 414 chassis. Jimmy Jacobson temporarily held the lead but would later see it slip away by a mere two points. These great results once again proved the great potential of the TRF 414 chassis. |
