【 The Revival Began Here 】  After a long break, the Mercedes team made their comeback to motorsports with the Sauber-Mercedes C9 in 1988. With main sponsors, German electronics company AEG on board, the C9 took on an impressive electronic circuitry livery on the beautiful dark blue paint job. This prototype car featured a 5 liter V8 twin turbo engine and went on to record a truly remarkable 5 wins and came 2nd for the season rankings.

■Engine
Photo-etched parts for the intercooler, oil cooler, and the engine bay's heat shield add greater realism to the C9's 5 liter V8 twin turbo engine.

■Rear View
The diffuser-shape rear under panel produces high-power down force effects. Adding realism to the model are photo-etched tow hook and wing tip parts.
