| From 1997 on, the Yamaha WCM team received the sponsorship of Austrian sports drink maker Red Bull for the World Road Race GP 500 class. To compete in the '99 season, the bike has thoroughly tuned and modified with consideration given to weight distribution, aerodynamics and engine performance. Riders Regis Laconi and Garry McCoy performed well at the Valencia race and earning 1st and 3rd places, respectively. At the recent Phillip Island race, Laconi took 3rd place, demonstrating the strength of the Red Bull Yamaha WCM team. |

 Plastic model kit based on the Red Bull Yamaha WCM YZR 500 which competes in the 1999 World Road Race GP. Overall Length: 168mm, Overall Width: 57mm, Overall Height: 90 mm Engine with air ducts and crankcase precisely replicated in one piece for easy assembly. Cowling and seat cowling can be attached to frame with tiny screws, can also be removed after assembly. Two kinds of windscreens included. Brake and clutch line recreated with plastic tubing. Deltabox frame and swing arm feature realistic curves and surfaces. Metal coil spring used for rear suspension. Realistic racing slick tires made form synthetic rubber. Decals for riders Laconi, McCoy and Crafar.
