【 Japanese Endurance Competition 】 Since 1959, specialty builder NCR has been in charge of Ducati's prestigious racing department. The three founding engineers of NCR, Giorgio Nepoti, Rino Caracchi, and Rizzi applied their initials for the naming of their company. The Ducati 900NCR, based on a 900 racer, came loaded with a L-Twin 4-cylinder, 863.9cc motor as well as a variety of parts from other Italian makers Mallossi, Brembo, and Dellorto. The slim design of this machine along with its light handling and the high-torque engine made it very suitable to the world endurance race championships in which it played an active part.
