| Every year, the Bavarian city of Nuremburg in Germany hosts what has become the world's largest toy fair. For this year, the fair boasts over 160,000 square meters of event space split among 14 exhibit halls, which are home to the displays of over 2,700 hobby, toy, and craft companys from 60 countries around the world. Visitors have a chance to view over 1 million products ranging from high-tech radio control models to good old-fashioned stuffed animals, and over 60,000 new item announcements are expected as well. Tamiya, Inc. has been an exhibitor at this annual event since 1968, with this year marking our 40th Anniversary of participation. With our spectacular lineup of new item announcements, the Tamiya booth will definitely be a focus of both industry figures and regular attendees alike. |

Scenes from the Exhibit Hall Hobby industry dealers, members of the press, and regular attendees from all over the world gathered in Nuremburg, Germany for four days at the world's largest toy fair. The first two days were closed to the public, but the huge number of dealers and press still provided plenty of excitement.
Tamiya's large, prominent booth was situated in a new hall this year and displayed a wide array of interesting products covering almost every genre imaginable, with our new release products taking center stage. Particularly noteworthy was the display of the brand new 1/8 Glow Engine Racing Truck "Nitrage," which marks Tamiya's entry into this popular R/C segment, and the swarms of dealers and press
was a testament of how highly anticipated this innovative item is. Nearby was the booth's demonstration area, where the Tamiya F-350 Hi-Lift equipped with the new Pick-Up Truck Multi-Function Unit (MFC-02) and the latest addition to our unique line of 1/16 R/C tanks - the Panther Type G, stopped passersby in their tracks with their amazingly realistic light and sound displays. Not to be outdone, the scale
model corner displaying Tamiya's full lineup of 1/48 scale Military Miniature models, including the new British Crusader Mk.I/II and T-34/76 Model 1941 items, as well as the new 1/48 scale F-16CJ Fighting Falcon and Swordfish Mk.II was also a popular stop for everyone who visited the Tamiya booth. Several well-known German model magazines organize these awards every year, which are given to model kits released in Germany, with the readers and staff of the magazines acting as the judges.
