2003 TAMIYA AMERICA MODEL CONTEST
This year, the Model Contest and promotion event, "TAMIYA/CON" took place on April 12th and 13th at Tamiya America in Aliso Viejo CA. Modelers from all over the country brought their masterwork model creations. A total of 415 models were presented and participants were awarded in 35 different categories. Moreover, 4 of these participants have been invited to the Shizuoka Hobby Show this month and are scheduled to present their works in Japan.

J. Alleyn Kinney entered his replica of a German WWII armored tank. A special Beyond Our Scope Prize was awarded to this impressive model which featured a 5.40m overall length.
