 Surikarn Chaidajsuriya from team TRF (Tamiya Race Factory) took 1st place using Tamiya's brand new TRF415 chassis in the Reedy Touring Car Race held at Tamiya America's track on May 29th and 30th. In this competition, which gathered world's best drivers and R/C car makers, Tamiya's machine and drivers showed excellent performances with Surikarn Chaidajsuriya (Thailand), Marc Rheinard (Germany) and Satoshi Maezumi (Japan) all finishing in the top 10.
The competition consisted of 8 rounds of 4 group races, 4 rounds on Saturday 29th and 4 rounds on Sunday 30th. In the first 4 rounds, the World Champion Surikarn Chaidajsuriya demonstrated his driving skills finishing in 1st position in 3 of his 4 races. Marc Rheinard also did very well on the first day winning 2 of his group races.
On the second day, even though the competition got tougher, Surikarn was able to take the title finishing 1st in 2 of his 4 races. Thanks to consistent results on the second day, Marc Rheinard and Satoshi Mezumi from TRF, who were both driving the TRF415 chassis, finished in the top 10, proving once again the TRF415 is one of the best chassis in the world.
