| As part of the festivities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tamiya's military (AFVs, figure sets, etc.) model products, Tamiya recently used an on-line survey to ask fans around the world to name the Tamiya model that was the most memorable for them, as well as which Tamiya model they would recommend to others. The top-10 items which received the most responses are now listed below.
Coming in at the top of both lists is the 1/35 scale German 88mm Gun FlaK36/37 (Item 35017). This item was originally released in 1972 and 40 years later it still remains highly popular, as indicated by the vast number of responses which were received. Many other 1/35 Scale Military Miniature Series kits found their way onto the lists with comments such as "I built this when I was a child and it left a lasting impression." and "I've built this kit so many times over the years." Tamiya models from the 1960s all the way to the present day made the lists, and the fact that different countries are represented also reflects the wide range of subject matter that Tamiya has produced to date. |
